On Mecherchar Island in the Palau Archipelago we find Jellyfish Lake, one of the most unbelievable natural wonders in the world.  Somehow, this lake was once connected to the ocean but now it's landlocked along with thousands and thousands of jellyfish.  The jellies, living in an environment free of predators, multiplied rapidly and lost their need to sting eventually turning into docile and safe creatures.

During midday, the jellyfish come near the surface and visitors are able to swim among them, something that would be suicide in the ocean.
