THE HANGING TEMPLE OF HENGSHAN

The Hanging Temple of Hengshan quite literally hangs on the side of Hengshan Mountain, sustain only by a few wooden poles. While it looks rickety and unsafe, rest assured this building has been around since at least the 6th century and doesn't seem to be in a hurry to fall down.

The Temple of Hengshan is comprised of 40 chambers and a series of passageways.  Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism are worshiped in this temple together.
