These letters are a very rare and very sweet correspondence between a child named Wendy and Walt Disney.  It seems that Wendy was a big fan of Woody Woodpecker and wrote to request an autograph.  Walt Disney, however, didn't create Woody Woodpecker, but took the time to not only send Wendy a picture of himself and Mickey Mouse, but also made sure that Walter Lans, the creator of Woody Woodpecker, got the request as well.

In an age where Walt Disney is often maligned for creating an "evil" company and some iffy anti-semetic tendencies, it's nice to point out every now and then that he was probably a decent damn human being.
