DRESSING THE DEAD

In Indonesia, people in the South Sulawesi Province observe a tradition known as "Ma'nene" in which the mummified remains of dead ancestors, some dead for over a hundred years, are exhumed and dressed in new clothing every three years as a symbol of love and respect for the dead.
