A&M Galveston Face

This is one that my wife alerted me to some time ago.  She used to be a student at A&M at Galveston and told me of a demonic face on the side of the University of Texas Medical Building Ewing Hall (UTMB).  The face has survived every attempt to remove it (even sandblasting). Supposedly, it has moved from every panel after being removed and now the story is that officials are afraid to sandblast it again because they fear it may move into the building itself through the door below it.

I got a pretty good look at the face last time I was in Galveston, but keep in mind that the building is off limits to the public. People have drowned trying to see this.  It is state property and access is restricted. You can be arrested.  Just enjoy these pictures of this little-know Texas legend.

According to legend, the face which now sits on the second to the bottom panel of concrete first appeared on the top level and has moved down each time it was removed.  Evidence of sandblasting is apparent on the building.
