HOW BIG IS A GOOGOL?
10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 So how large is this number? Consider the following: A google is greater than all of the atoms in the known universe however, there are also over a googol possible chess games. A supermassive black hole, which evaporates over time by loosing Hawking radiation, would take close to a googol years to disappear. It's thought that the core of our galaxy is a supermassive black hole. There are also a little over a googol ways to arrange seventy people in a line. It's impossible to hold a googol of things in your hand because even the smallest known particles in the universe, quarks, would be so numerous that they would out-weigh the Earth. A googol letters is far more letters that have been written by humans in our entire history. If there were a googol of balls, each only 3 millimeters in diameter, they would overflow the entire known universe (a sphere with a radius of ten billion light years). To truly fill the known universe with a google balls, one would have to switch the number of balls in the universe out every second for 4,000 years. A googolplex is a one with a googol numbers behind it. That number is so massive that all the computers on the planet could not store the mere representation of it. As a matter of fact, if all matter in the universe was converted to ink and paper, there would still not be enough room to write down a full googolplex.
