Joe Dirt
"Keep on moppin' in the free world." Directed by Dennie Gordon Written by David Spade and Fred Wolf Starring David Spade, Brittany Daniel, and Dennis Miller. Rated PG-13 for crude and sex-related humor, and for language Fun Fact: Dennis Miller's scenes were shot in only one day. |
You'd think I would have learned after sitting through Lost & Found on cable. David Spade isn't funny anymore. I actually believe Chris Farley took all the funny with him when he died. David Spade stars in this movie about a pathetic loser who travels the world in search of his family. Along the way he meets a hot blonde played by Brittany Daniels, a white trash redneck played by Kid Rock (Who's actually funny considering he said in an interview he felt he didn't have to research the role to play it since he grew up like that.), Dennis Miller as a witty obscure reference dropping radio show host, Christopher Walken as an eccentric janitor and that mumbling guy from The Waterboy. God, this movie was lame. A couple of years ago, David would have been ripping a movie like this apart on his SNL bit Hollywood Minute. Well, looks like David Spade is going the way of Chevy Chase, Joe Piscopo and Eddie Murphy. Lame comic actors. Avoid this movie! For god's sakes! I'd rather see Batman and Robin over this!
