April Movie Preview

A Man Apart
April 4th, 2003

Starring Vin Deisel

A DEA Agent and his partner attempt to take down a drug cartel when things get personal.

Donner's Analysis:  Looks like it may be worth looking at.  Nice and powerful, at least.

Phone Booth
April 4th, 2003

Starring Colin Farrell

A man is held hostage in a phone booth by a sniper.

Donner's Analysis:  This one looks interesting... but, then again it's directed by the man who turned Batman into a homosexual and made a movie about a nuclear bomb in New York look boring.  We shall see.

What A Girl Wants
April 4th, 2003

Starring Amanda Bynes

An American girl finds out that her long lost father is a British aristocrat.

Donner's Analysis:  Bleh... Can you say "pre-teen chick flick?"

Anger Management
April 11th, 2003

Starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson

A wrongly accused man is sentenced to anger management and discovers that his instructor is a psycho.

Donner's Analysis:  Now, THIS looks funny.  Hopefully this won't be another Sandler stinker and will actually be funny unlike his last three movies.

Bulletproof Monk
April 16th, 2003

Starring Chow Yun Fat and Seann William Scott

A mystical monk seeks a sucessor and finds it in a New York cop.

Donner's Analysis:  Hmm... Looks interesting to say the least.  Obviously, it's got Matrix influences working on it, but I like Seann William Scott, so I'll see it.

Holes
April 18th, 2003

Starring Shia LaBeouf and Sigourney Weaver

Kids in a detention camp must dig holes in the bottom of a dry lake bed.

Donner's Analysis:  <sarcasm>Ooo, sounds exciting!</sarcasm>

From Justin to Kelly

Starring Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini

American Idol winner and looser play themselves in the American Idol movie.

Donner's Analysis:  Kill me.

Identity
April 25th, 2003

Starring John Cusack, Ray Liota, and Jake Busey

Ten complete strangers end up in a motel together... and begin dying!

Donner's Analysis:  Nice trailers... spooky and suspenseful!
